Client Manager
This role sits at the centre of a busy and well-established Cheltenham accountancy practice, supporting a portfolio of long-standing clients and helping ensure work is delivered accurately, on time and to a consistently high standard.
As Client Manager, you’ll act as the link between clients, Partners and the wider team. You’ll oversee accounts and tax compliance for your portfolio, manage workflow and deadlines, and support the development of junior and senior colleagues. The role offers genuine ownership, variety and the opportunity to influence how client services are delivered.

The Role
The Client Manager will take day-to-day responsibility for a varied client portfolio, ensuring work is planned, reviewed and delivered efficiently.
Key areas of focus include:
* Overseeing the preparation and review of statutory accounts
* Managing corporation tax and personal tax compliance
* Acting as the primary contact for clients and resolving queries
* Coordinating workflow, deadlines and internal resources
* Reviewing work prepared by junior and senior team members
* Supporting client meetings and advisory discussions
* Identifying opportunities to improve processes and add value
* Working closely with Partners on more complex matters
The balance of this role is client management, technical oversight and people development, rather than hands-on production alone.
Who This Role Suits
This role will suit:
* An experienced Client Manager within a UK accountancy practice
or
* A confident Senior Accountant / Accounts Senior ready to step into a client-facing management role
It’s particularly well suited to someone who enjoys mentoring others and building long-term client relationships.
About You

You’ll bring a strong grounding in practice accounting and a calm, organised approach to managing competing priorities.
You will:
* Be ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
* Have experience working within a UK accountancy practice
* Be confident reviewing accounts and tax work
* Enjoy communicating with clients and colleagues
* Be comfortable managing deadlines and expectations
* Have an interest in advisory and relationship-led work
* Be motivated to continue progressing within public practice
