Job Description Programme Manager (SEND & Pre-16)
Programme Manager Pre-16/SEND (Foundation and Pathways) – 37 hours per week. Employed for 52 weeks per year – £44,130.70 (BRK 41). Based in Weybridge, Surrey. (Maternity Cover 1-year Fixed Term contract) Brooklands Technical College is a further education college supporting people and adults to take the next steps on their career path. The Programme Manager will act as a role model for staff; demonstrating excellent programme management skills and having an outstanding knowledge of the student experience and teaching, learning, and assessment.
About the role:
You will be an excellent teacher and communicator, supporting the Director of Faculty with the continuous improvement of teaching and learning. The role includes a teaching commitment with remission to undertake management duties as required, including:
* Promoting the College’s ethos and values
* Teaching across one or more pathways within the Foundation and Progression Faculty
* Managing staff within the designated areas, including performance and appraisal processes
* Ensuring all lessons are covered, including short-term sickness cover across areas of responsibility
* Supporting the Director of Faculty with the programme management cycle within their curriculum area, ensuring high-quality curriculum planning, coordination, and delivery
* Working with the Director and managing teams in implementing qualification reforms, particularly T-levels where appropriate
To fulfill the role you will have:
* A degree or equivalent, relevant professional qualification in one of the Foundation and Progression Pathways areas
* PGCE/Certificate in Education or equivalent
* Level 2 in English and Maths
* Evidence of ongoing professional development
* Assessor or Verifier qualification (a distinct advantage)
* Relevant specialist knowledge of SEND
