Become an Installation & Maintenance Electrical Apprentice at Royal Mail
Location: Manchester Mail Centre, 77 Oldham Road, Manchester, M4 5AA (travel to M, SK, OL, BL postcode areas)
Salary: £15,199 – £22,591 (depending on age)
Hours/Shifts: 37.5 hours per week – shifts aligned to a mentor when starting
Duration: 3 – 4 years
Qualification: Installation and Maintenance Electrician – Level 3

What You’ll Do
* Install electrical systems
* Fix and maintain equipment
* Test electrical systems to make sure they are safe
* Repair faults when things go wrong
* Follow important safety rules
You will work with trained electricians who will guide you every step of the way.
Learn While You Work
* Learn on the job every day
* Take part in training and study
* Complete your coursework and assessments
As you improve, you will be trusted to do more tasks on your own.

What We’re Looking For
* You’ll need:
o GCSE Maths and English Language at Level 4 (or the ability to achieve this during the apprenticeship)
o A minimum of 5 GCSEs in total (Grade 4/C or above), ideally including a Science (Physics, Biology, Chemistry or combined Science) or Technical subject (or equivalent)
o A Full UK Driving Licence (important as the apprenticeship will involve travelling to various sites)
