You will be a self starter who enjoys being at the centre of the team. You will be ambitious to engage bookshops and museum and gallery shops in the UK and the US in the sale of our audiobooks. About Spiracle Spiracle is a new, British based, independent audiobook platform available on web and app. Established in 2022, we offer a curated selection of audiobooks. We distribute for all literary presses and where possible, co-publish with the smaller, independent publishers. Our core mission is to diversify the audiobook market by changing who, how and where the worlds authors and publishers can be discovered. We are first to market with the innovative new product, Audiobook in a Card. This initiative puts audiobooks into brick and mortar bookshops and opens out a web of collaboration between booksellers, publishers and other retailers. It is crucial to our mission. Audiobook in a Card We are engaging new bookshops and retailers around Britain and soon in the US, to stock our new product. We have ambitious targets. The scheme is vital to our wider business given that every bookseller is effectively joining the sales team. In turn, bookshops stand to make good business from this new route to the audiobook market, as do publishers. Its vital that we keep everything on track and meet our goals so we can broaden our distribution network overseas. The ideal candidate will appreciate the interweave of digital, social, online and real world events marketing to grow our communities of retailers and customers. Although this is a specific role, we are seeking someone who will embrace being part of a start-up team where resourcefulness, flexibility and hard work are necessary. Retail (Bookshops) Administrator: Tasks Engage retailers across Britain with social campaigns, real world events, calls to action. Maintain records of bookshops stocking audiobook in a card Use resourceful and creative growth solutions in agreement with the wider team End to end bookshop setup for audiobook in a card: Outreach/recruitment/sales Liaise with sales reps Onboarding through Shopify and activation portal Wholesale and customer orders packing/posting from Shopify Keeping Shopify updated with new stock where needed, liaising with the production team for key information Assist the Operations team with finance queries where needed Secondary PA duties to Commercial Director for up to a day per week Required Skills Excellent communicator via email and telephone, with company stakeholders and external customers Competent administrator, capable of managing a high volume workload Team player but very capable of working independently without supervision Competent with using Shopify, Google Workspace and documents Sales experience preferable Enthusiasm for the audiobook and bookshop industries, either professional or demonstrable from personal interests The Job If youre responsible, bright, hard working and flexible this could be the job for you. Its a full time position with a starting salary of £36,000, plus bonuses for goals reached. The salary and the position will expand and grow as the business grows. Our products are managed from our Camden office in London, making this the most practical work location for at least 3 days work per week.
