Your Role as Senior Support Worker
 * Take a lead role in ensuring the care and wellbeing of each young person in your care.
 * Attend and coordinate meetings with schools, social workers, and local authorities.
 * Provide guidance and mentoring to support workers, including training in therapeutic approaches.
 * Contribute to the creation of reports (LAC, Placement Reviews, and Care Plans).
 * Raise safeguarding concerns promptly with the Registered Manager.
 * Manage and de‑escalate challenging behaviour in a calm and professional manner.
 * Be a consistent and positive role model at all times.
 * Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary teams to develop effective care strategies.
 * Administer and document medication in line with policies.
 * Conduct thorough risk assessments to ensure safety and wellbeing.
 * Build meaningful relationships with vulnerable young people aged 8‑17 and support supervised family contact.
 * Deliver Keywork sessions and support positive behavioural change.
 * Liaise effectively with families, social workers, and healthcare professionals.
 * Always safeguard and promote the welfare of our young people.
About You
 * Passionate about improving the lives of vulnerable children and young people.
 * Experienced in handling challenging behaviour with empathy and resilience.
 * Strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to offer guidance and support (training provided).
 * Confident in using your initiative and solving problems.
 * A reliable team player and a consistent role model for the young people.
 * Able to manage pressure and prioritise tasks effectively.
 * Willing and able to work flexibly across the week, including evenings and weekends (shifts between 7:30am – 10:30pm).
 * Able to complete between 4‑8 sleep‑in shifts per month.
