1. About the Role
As an Assistant Bodyshop Manager, you’ll support the Bodyshop Manager in ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the workshop. You’ll be hands-on with job carding, parts organisation, process management, and customer communication—helping deliver a smooth, high-quality repair experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Discuss repair plans with customers, manage expectations, and communicate ECDs clearly.
* Listen to customer needs and address concerns with professionalism.
* Ensure all workshop documentation is accurate and complete.
* Work closely with central functions to enhance process understanding and flow.
* Support workshop efficiency and ensure parts and job carding processes run smoothly.
2. Skills & Experience
* Background in a team lead, supervisory, or parts-focused role—ideally within automotive.
* Proactive, solution-focused mindset with a commitment to getting it right first time.
* Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
* Highly organised with strong process awareness.
* Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
* Good IT skills and ability to learn new systems quickly.
* Knowledge of body & paint repair processes is desirable but not essential.
