Following an internal restructure, an exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 Operations Manager to join the Management Team at Priory Medical Group, working alongside our Practice Manager. The Operations Managers will play a key role in the effective delivery of both Clinical and non Clinical services. The Operations Managers will support the Practice Manager in the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring staff achieve their responsibilities, whilst ensuring the delivery of high levels of patient care. The Operations Managers will work collaboratively and as a team, and these roles are pivotal leadership positions, responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the practice while supporting high-quality, safe, and patient-centred care. Working closely with the GP Partners, Clinical Lead, and wider multidisciplinary team, the Operations Managers will oversee operational performance, workforce management, compliance, and service development. The successful candidates will bring strong organisational and people-management skills, with the ability to work across clinical and administrative functions to support each other, the practice manager, and continuous improvement and operational efficiency within a busy primary care environment. Main duties of the job To support the Practice Manager in all aspects of practice functionality, motivating and managing staff, optimising efficiency and overall performance, ensuring the practice achieves its long term strategic objectives in a safe and effective working environment, and ensuring the practice complies with CQC requirements. There will be 2 Operations Managers who will form part of the Practice Management Team, and work collaboratively to achieve practice goals across the clinical and non clinical teams. The Operations Managers are responsible for the day to day management and allocation of Reception, Administration, Secretarial and Pharmacy Team workload, ensuring all functions are carried out in accordance with agreed procedures, protocols and timescales. The Operational Managers are also responsible for ensuring rotas for clinical and non clinical staff are in place ensuring adequate levels of cover are in place across the practices 3 sites. The Operations Managers will be required to cover for each other in periods of absence, and they will also be required to deputise for the Practice Manager as and when necessary. The Operations Managers role will be defined, however they will work closely as a team, and alongside the Practice Manager You will provide leadership and guidance to staff, ensuring that they follow practice policies and procedures. About us We are a friendly, well organised and forward thinking surgery with a growing patient list of 15,000 patients, operating from three sites; North Shields, Hadrian Park and Tynemouth. You will predominately be based at our North Shields Main branch, however you will need to be able to travel to our branch sites. We form part of a large North Shields PCN, which Operates out of North Shields Health Hub, where we work collaboratively with the other practices within the PCN, supported by our PCN Staff. We are a teaching practice with GP Registrars, F2 Doctors and medical students from Northumbria and Newcastle University and also Sunderland University. Our clinical team comprises; 7 GP Partners, 6 Salaried GPs, 1 Lead Nurse, 3 Practice Nurses, 1 tACP, 5 HCAs, 2 Phlebotomists, 1 Lead Pharmacist, 4 Pharmacists, 3 Pharmacy Technicians, 2 Trainee Pharmacy Technicians, 1 GPA and 1 Physician Associate. Our wider team incorporates Mental Health Nurse, First Contact Physiotherapist, and Social Link Workers. CQC rating as Good with high levels of QOF achievement.
