The Divisional Director is responsible for the overall strategic development and day-to-day operations of the Division. This role involves working closely with the Divisional Medical Director and Divisional Director of Nursing and Therapies to ensure the provision of high-quality, safe services across Birmingham and the wider region, meeting agreed outcomes, service level agreements, activity, and financial targets.
The Divisional Director will collaborate with the Executive Team to set a long-term strategic vision and provide compassionate, inclusive leadership, making the Division a "Great Place to Work." The role also requires engaging, supporting, and developing high-performing teams, establishing effective structures and processes, fostering a culture of delivery and teamwork, and managing multiple departments and budgets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the Adult Community Services Division in partnership with senior clinical and managerial staff to ensure effective, safe, and high-quality services regionally.
2. Develop and implement strategic plans that align with organizational priorities and stakeholder needs, reducing organizational risks.
3. Provide visible, inclusive, and compassionate leadership to ensure delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality services against set targets.
4. Champion workforce development to enable staff to achieve their full potential and ensure the delivery of high-performing, quality-oriented clinical services within resource constraints.
