Responsibilities (Text Only)
1. Collaborate closely with the existing SRE teams to build and enhance tooling and automation solutions for faster resolution of issues impacting SLOs and to prevent incidents when possible.
2. Work with customers to understand their supportability pain points and SLO attainment challenges, then formulate strategies to address recurring issues sustainably.
3. Serve as the single point of contact for interfacing with large enterprise customers, handling service escalations, and driving issues to resolution through deep technical communication.
4. Design and implement changes to service telemetry to support automation, if not already available.
5. Enhance customer-facing experiences by implementing proactive alerting based on utilization, trends, resource health, and other metrics.
6. Analyze data and provide operational insights to Design and Product teams to incorporate supportability considerations into feature development.
Qualifications (Text Only)
1. In-depth technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration.
2. Operational experience in improving Service Reliability, Availability, and Performance.
3. Ability to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
4. Systematic problem-solving skills, effective communication, and curiosity.
5. Expertise in analyzing, troubleshooting, and automating root cause analysis and incident mitigation in large-scale distributed systems.
6. Willingness to travel to customer sites in South East UK.
Preferred Qualifications
* Prior HPC knowledge.
* Experience influencing product architecture and roadmaps to prioritize supportability for customers.
Other Requirements
Must meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check and UK security standards. The role involves regular travel to customer sites in South East UK.
