Greenspace Commercial Manager – Nottingham City Council
Salary and Contract
Salary: £51,356 – £54,495 per annum (Grade J). Permanent | Full time

Responsibilities
* Leading £3m+ Greenspace capital investment programmes, from inception to completion
* Leading the activation and commercialisation of our city’s parks and green assets.
* Developing new income streams, partnerships and funding bids (think Sport England, NLHF, S106)
* Oversight of leases, tenders, contracts and robust supplier relationships
* Annual fees & charges benchmarking and performance reviews
* Service-level financial forecasting and budget delivery
* Smart, inclusive use of public greenspace that enhances lives and service resilience.
Reporting to: Head of Greenspace & Natural Environment and helping shape a future where nature is at the heart of city life and pays its way.
What We’re Looking For
You're an entrepreneurial thinker with strong roots in capital delivery, contract management or commercial planning, and a soft spot for urban greenspaces. You’ve likely worked in local government, consultancy, parks, sports, or environment-based industries.
* You’ll bring a track record of leading high-value programmes (ideally £1m+ capital projects)
* Experience in crafting or managing commercial partnerships and contracts
* Financial literacy, forecasting, fees and funding savvy
* Understanding of greenspace operations, biodiversity, or placemaking
* Confidence to matrix-manage stakeholders and present ideas at senior level
* Passion for public service, people, and place
