Reeson Education is recruiting a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Waltham Forest. Role Overview - SEN Teaching Assistant
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will work closely with pupils who have additional learning needs including autism, ADHD and speech & language difficulties. The SEN Teaching Assistant will provide both 1:1 and small group support, helping pupils stay engaged, build confidence and make consistent progress.
Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant
Supporting pupils with SEN on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Assisting the class teacher in delivering structured and engaging lessons
Helping pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH and communication needs
Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional regulation
Supporting the development of social and academic skillsRequirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant
Previous experience as a SEN Teaching Assistant or working with children
A patient, calm and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
