Job Description
Turner & Townsend is a leading consultancy in the Infrastructure sector. We are seeking to recruit an Associate Cost Manager / Commercial Manager for our prestigious infrastructure-based projects.
As an experienced professional, you will bring a wealth of cost management expertise, ready to apply your knowledge in a dynamic environment. We seek a candidate comfortable with challenging conversations, adopting a consultative approach to bring out the best in their team and clients.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Establish professional and appropriate relationships with clients, colleagues, and project parties.
2. Administer contracts aligning with project objectives and policies.
3. Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting, and reporting.
4. Proactively monitor and manage cost variances and contract cash flow, ensuring timely applications.
5. Collaborate with client and contractor teams to deliver project KPIs, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
6. Manage contract changes effectively, maintaining governance and best practices.
7. Improve forecast and budget accuracy.
8. Provide sound commercial support to stakeholders.
9. Negotiate and finalize final accounts.
10. Lead teams and commissions as required.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience in Cost / Commercial Management.
* MRICS qualification preferred.
* Experience with NEC3 contracts, especially Option C – Target Cost.
* Post-contract administration experience.
* Experience working on major programmes and projects.
* Experience in infrastructure projects (rail, air, marine/ports, utilities, highways).
* Leadership and team management skills.
