SF Recruitment is working with a business based in South Derbyshire who are looking to recruit a Permanent Accounts Assistant, on a full time basis to join a small close knit team.
This role is due to an internal move within the department, reporting into the Senior Accounts Assistant you will look after the following:
* Purchase and Sales Ledger - accurately processes invoices, matches purchase orders and resolves supplier queries.
* Bank reconciliation - reconciles bank statements, credit cards and cash transactions.
* Data entry - maintains accurate records on accounting software
* Assists with VAT returns, month-end reconciliations and audit preparation
* Financial Administration - handles petty cash and,manages post
* Credit control -chases overdue customer accounts
* Prepares payment runs on a weekly basis
* Takes general telephone calls, transferring these to relevant person
* Provides functional support for other departments - sales order & purchase order processing
* Carries out general administration tasks.
You will be able to demonstrate the following capabilities:
* High degree of numeracy
* Good IT skills
* Ability to work accurately
* AAT or previous accounts experience preferred
* Good communication skills & tenacity
* Strong organisational skills
* High level of integrity
