JOB DESCRIPTION: SEN Teaching Assistant - Darwen
Location:
North West England, Lancashire, Darwen
Job Type:
Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours
Salary:
£85 - £100 Per day
Job Duties:
* Supporting students with special educational needs in the classroom
* Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivering lessons
* Providing one-on-one support to students who require additional help
* Helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
* Assisting with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
* Collaborating with other staff members to ensure the needs of all students are met
Required Qualifications:
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
* Relevant qualifications in supporting individuals with special educational needs
Education:
Minimum of GCSE level education
Experience:
Prior experience working with individuals with special educational needs preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of different learning needs and how to support them
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Patience and empathy when working with students
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
* Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
* First Aid certification
Working Conditions:
Work will primarily take place in a classroom setting within a school environment. The role may require occasional lifting and carrying of equipment. Working hours are typically during school hours, Monday to Friday.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
