Supply Chain Lead
Salary: £47,000-£58,000
Location: Cheltenham (Hybrid Working)
Develop and deliver a sustainable supply chain that supports complex defence programmes, providing expert guidance on procurement, supplier management and operational effectiveness.

Your work will shape strategic supply chain initiatives, reduce costs, and strengthen collaboration with suppliers. This includes demand forecasting, purchase order management, material sourcing, scheduling and inventory control.
Role Responsibilities
* Identify suitable suppliers for programme items and services. Lead negotiation and tendering strategies to secure best value and on‑time delivery.
* Manage supplier performance, including pricing, availability and issue resolution. Ensure relevant performance metrics, such as quality and on-time delivery, have been met.
* Monitor and raise any risks with the supply chain, including obsolescence and supply issues.
Requirements
* Degree qualification or equivalent with experience working in a complex project environment within a highly regulated industry, such as defence, aerospace, oil and gas, etc.
* Experience working within a supply chain function with an understanding of supply chain operations and efficiency improvement.
* Demonstrated success in contract and subcontract negotiation and management within relevant laws and regulations.
* Experience reviewing and contributing to bids and proposals.
* You must be a sole British citizen eligible for high-level government security clearance.
Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore, these vacancies are only open to sole British Nationals.
