Quantity Surveyor - Suffolk based
Opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to work for a multi‑billion turnover construction and development business with a turnover of more than £1 billion. This is an exciting new role due to additional workload secured on one of their major projects.
About the role of Quantity Surveyor
As a Quantity Surveyor you will work within the commercial team and be site‑based in Suffolk, working on a mix of live and upcoming phases. The project includes a major multi‑phase accommodation scheme of 16 blocks of residential, leisure facilities, cafes and infrastructure works, as well as £10‑£40 million education, healthcare and commercial office contracts. The role is based in Suffolk for at least 3–4 years, with further pipeline and new projects secured with the existing client. You will report to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and be responsible for, but not limited to:
* Managing packages from procurement through to final accounting
* Ensuring subcontractors are managed on site
* Reviewing drawings
* Collaborating with the internal team and clients
Responsibilities for Quantity Surveyor
* Working from PCSA/2‑Stage tender process to delivering the site and working through to completion and final accounts
* Procurement across all sub‑contracting accounts
* Pricing and managing change and variations
* Attending site meetings
Requirements for Quantity Surveyor
* Minimum 5 years experience within Construction Quantity Surveying, either with a developer or main contractor
* Good communication skills
* Quantity Surveyor degree or working towards RICS qualification
* Proactive, ambitious and confident attitude
