We are recruiting for two Multi Skilled Operatives to join us here at Octavius.
We are a leading civil engineering organisation delivering safe, sustainable, and efficient transport solutions across the UK.
You'll be working on…. (what your role and responsibility is)
You will be working in the Rail team based in the Kent and Sussex areas. The purpose of the role is to carry out maintenance works efficiently and to the required standard in compliance with all statutory, regulatory and company policies and procedures. Works are to be carried out in a safe manner to achieve the required programme, whether this is reactive or planned works.
You'll work with… (because relationships are important)
A team of highly motivated, dedicated professionals delivering projects across a variety of frameworks with clients such as Network Rail, and local authorities. Collaboration and strong relationships with our clients and team members are at the heart of what we do.
You'll receive…. (because we value you)
We offer a competitive rewards package, including a Company Car scheme, Private Healthcare, Pension, Life Assurance cover, 25 days Annual Leave (and a day off for your birthday). You'll also have access to Hybrid working where possible, an enhanced Paternity & Maternity package and the opportunity to develop yourself personally and professionally.
About you…. (what you are skilled at)
You are a skilled and versatile professional with a strong background in a trade. You thrive in dynamic environments and are committed to delivering high-quality work.
You'll bring… (your wealth of experience & qualifications)
We are keen to speak to candidates who are qualified in one or more of the standard civils building trades such as bricklaying, carpentry or general small civils repairs like tarmac laying or pothole repairs. Previous railway experience across a broad range of maintenance would be an advantage but training will be provided to the right candidates. You will require a CSCS card and PTS so already holding these would be an advantage, however, this is not essential.
Inclusion and diversity are important to us, we are an equal opportunities employer and value difference. We want and will continue to build an inclusive environment where our people thrive. We firmly believe constantly striving to build a truly diverse workforce is what makes us a strong business and will enable us to continue to solve important problems and deliver unrivalled value to both our customers and clients. If you need any specialist support throughout your application, we will work with you where we can to support your journey with us.
