SEN Teaching Assistant (Year 4 - Whole-Class & ASD Behaviour Support)
* Location: Northfield, B31
* Weekly Rate: £480-£500
* Start Date: ASAP
* Hours: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
* Contract: Long Term to Permanent
Long Term Futures are recruiting for a SEN Teaching Assistant to support learning in a Year 4 class at a welcoming primary school in Northfield.
This full-time role involves supporting whole-class learning while providing targeted support to three children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and challenging behaviour. The successful candidate will be confident using strong behaviour management strategies, de-escalation techniques and emotional regulation support to promote a calm and inclusive environment.
The Role:
* Support whole-class learning in a Year 4 setting
* Provide targeted support to pupils with ASD and behavioural needs
* Implement behaviour management and de-escalation strategies
* Promote emotional regulation and positive engagement
* Help maintain a safe, structured and inclusive classroom
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO
The Ideal Candidate:
* Level 2/3 TA qualification (or equivalent)
* Experience supporting ASD and challenging behaviour
* Confident with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
* Calm, resilient and proactive in the classroom
* Team Teach desirable (or willingness to train)
* Committed to inclusion and supporting pupil progress
