About the Company
Our client is a specialist building envelope contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality cladding, re-cladding, and façade refurbishment projects across the UK.
They are recognised for their technical expertise and collaborative approach, successfully delivering complex schemes as both Principal Contractor and specialist subcontractor on projects typically ranging from £10m–£30m.
With a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.
The Role
You will take full commercial ownership of two live façade projects (£10m+ each), overseeing cost management, procurement, and client liaison to ensure profitable delivery.
This position suits a commercially minded QS with solid experience in cladding or re-cladding, ideally from a façade contractor background.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the commercial and contractual aspects of multiple façade projects.
* Lead cost planning, budgeting, and cash flow forecasting.
* Prepare valuations, variations, and final accounts.
* Procure and manage subcontractor packages, including negotiation and contract administration.
* Support project teams with commercial and contractual guidance (JCT / NEC).
* Maintain accurate financial reporting for internal and client meetings.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
Requirements
* Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in façade / cladding / re-cladding projects.
* Proven background with a specialist building envelope or façade contractor.
* Experience managing projects £10m+ in value.
* Strong contractual knowledge (JCT and/or NEC).
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Degree or HNC/D in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
