Title: Laboratory Technician
Salary: £12.50 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Working on behalf of our client we are currently recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to assist over the summer (3 month initial period).
We are looking for individuals who have a real interest in working in a busy laboratory environment.
About you
* You will be computer literate, able to work on your own initiative and be used to working as part of a small, flexible team.
* You will be flexible in your approach and enjoy training and learning new skills.
The Role and what you will learn: -
* Carry out analysis by wet chemistry techniques,
* analyse samples for vitamins mineral analysis and enzymes together with NIR analysis of raw materials, feeds and forages
* Assist the Services Manager, Senior Analyst and Senior NIR technician in the effective performance of their duties
* Specific responsibility for all aspects of sample preparation.
* Ensure the laboratories, stock rooms and associated areas and all equipment within are clean and properly maintained.
* Ensure that all samples are stored correctly and clearly.
