We are working with a "Good" rated Ofsted secondary school in Bolton who are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Food Technology Teacher to join their team on a long-term supply basis. The school is well known for its supportive environment, strong leadership, and inclusive culture. You will be joining a welcoming and collaborative Design Technology department, where staff work closely together to share resources and best practice, ensuring both teachers and students are well supported.
The Role:
1. Deliver engaging and practical Food Technology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
2. Plan, prepare and assess in line with curriculum requirements
3. Motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential
4. Contribute to the wider life of the school and department, supporting extra-curricular opportunities where appropriate
5. Work effectively within a supportive and forward-thinking DT team
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
7. Specialism in Food Technology, confident teaching KS3 and KS4
8. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for delivering engaging lessons
9. Strong behaviour management and organisational skills
10. A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
11. Previous secondary school teaching experience is desirable, but strong ECTs will also
