Job Overview
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Financial Officer to join the Marapco team in Carrickfergus. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records and processing payroll. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your expertise in accounting software such as Sage 50, along with the usage of Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP and CRM systems, contributing to the efficient operation of our finance department.
Responsibilities
Management of Purchase Ledger
Management of Sales Ledger
Management of Nominal Ledger
Management of Monthly Payroll / Pensions / PAYE Returns
Reconciliation of Nominal Accounts – weekly, monthly & quarterly
Bank Reconciliations
Preparation of Quarterly Forecast vs Actual Reports for CFO
Preparation of monthly accruals/prepayments/journals
Responsibility for Quarterly VAT Returns
Liaise with HMRC Officials e.g. VAT Inspector
Processing Employee Expenses / Travel Claims
Preparation of Budgets for incoming financial years
Ongoing monitoring of budget vs actual spends
Preparation of Year End reconciliations for external accountants
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS
FQ Accounting Technician, PQ Management Accountant, 10+ years experience in a finance role.
This role is ideal for candidates who are organised, meticulous, and possess a solid understanding of financial management systems. Prior experience in a similar position will be highly regarded.
