We are seeking an Operations and Response Engineer, on a full time, permanent basis. You'll responsible for delivering, developing and maintaining IT systems that support the constabulary’s operational applications.
You will be the technical delivery lead for the department providing a technical point of reference for the team, managing the technical infrastructure. You'll take responsibilty and accountability for assisting the IT Service Manager to deliver the vision set out for the team, helping develop new skills and enhance the teams’ overall capability.
What you’ll be doing as Operations & Response Engineer
* You will lead and have ownership for high level tasks and support technical project-based work, liaising with stakeholder and dispersing knowledge to the team.
* You'll embed problem management and work to establish new methods of working and challenge working practices.
* Actively owning cyber alert notifications, ensuring these are handled appropriately and within agreed procedures; liaising directly with NMC to improve alerting processes offering feedback on specific alerts.
Must haves for the Operations & Response Engineer
* You should hold a degree level qualification or equivalent with a high computing element or significant work experience in an IT support and/or computer operations role.
* Be competent in the use and troubleshooting of Microsoft office products and services and have experience in administering Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.
* Able to resolve single and cross-technology incidents independently and working with team members to resolve unusually complex or cross- technology incidents.
* Have the experience of investigating operationally high impact and complex problems as well as making proposals for service improvements.

Operations and Response Engineer Salary £35,982 - £43,098
For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
