About The Role:
Compensation is $16-18 per hour based on experience.
Responsibilities
* Accurately perform basic vehicle services and repairs in accordance with Monro standards of operation.
o Tire Services – wheel removal, balancing, patch/plug repairs, changing, mounting, installation and TPMS service and repair.
o Vehicle Services – lubrications, oil changes, basic maintenance (e.g., bulb, wiper blade and filter replacements), battery testing and installations.
* Consistently complete Monro’s Courtesy Inspection on every guest vehicle, documenting and communicating additional needed services and repairs.
* Assist in inventory management, including pulling tires and parts and stocking inventory.
* Assist with general store duties to maintain cleanliness and a guest-ready environment according to Monro standards.
* Adhere to Monro’s safety standards, including wheel torque, oil safety, and compliance procedures.
* Test drive vehicles in accordance with Monro’s Road Test policy and local traffic and safety laws.
* Understand and follow company policies and governmental standards, including environmental codes and ANSI/OSHA requirements.
* Maintain technical knowledge and complete Monro University training modules; operate and maintain equipment safely according to manufacturer guidelines.
* Assist in guest care, work order completion, register assistance, facility maintenance, and outside purchase ordering as directed by management.
* Support opening and closing responsibilities as a secondary key carrier.
* Effectively communicate Monro’s products and services to guests.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent. Automotive training or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Must possess a current valid driver’s license and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR); ability to operate customers’ vehicles for test drives.
* Must own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This job operates in an automotive shop environment with moderate noise, exposure to chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust. The role may require flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs, standing and walking for long periods, and frequent reaching, bending, kneeling, and squatting.
