Learning Support Assistant (LSA)

About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our inclusive education team. This is a key role supporting students with a range of additional needs, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), to achieve their full academic and personal potential.
Working under the guidance of the SENCO and teaching staff, you will provide one-to-one and small-group support in lessons and assist with the development of differentiated learning materials and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to individual students with SEND
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support personalised learning plans
* Assist students with access arrangements, literacy and numeracy intervention
* Help manage behaviour and encourage a positive, respectful learning environment
* Record progress and contribute to student reviews and reports
About You:
* Experience working with students with SEND is highly desirable
* A caring, patient and empathetic nature
* A good standard of literacy and numeracy (GCSE or equivalent)
* Understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice
* A team-focused mindset with a flexible and resilient approach
