The Role
The Process Engineer role is to primarily create and maintain manufacturing process procedures. This involves the purchase, implementation, and upkeep of new machinery and process methods throughout manufacturing. This person will work alongside the Engineering, Maintenance, and Technical Manufacturing teams to ensure processes are operational and in a streamlined fashion.
Duties:
1. Introduce, monitor, and maintain the effectiveness of manufacturing processes.
2. Work alongside all business areas on continuous improvement.
3. Support in the onboarding and requirements capture of new customers.
4. Provide technical expertise and mentoring for manufacturing processes to all employees.
5. Keep up to date with advances in technology and manufacturing process developments.
6. Keep up to date with customer and industry standard requirements impacting manufacturing processes.
7. Maintain good working relationships with all Axis personnel, relevant customers, and suppliers.
The Candidate
An Engineering Degree or relevant industry experience is required. Electronic manufacturing experience within a high reliability, low to medium volume sector would be advantageous. J-STD-001 trained would be beneficial. Strong English communication skills are a must. Fully understanding Lean Manufacturing, being proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools, and having a strong ability in analyzing and making data-driven decisions are essential.
The Package
The salary offered for this position is £30,000- £36,000 plus benefits and a bonus per annum to a candidate who can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
