IT Administrative Assistant

Full Time 40 Hours per Week Monday to Friday

An opportunity has arisen for an IT Administrative Assistant role at our large national Garden Centre Group. Reporting to the IT Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the IT department and the requirements of the business. The candidate is required to be flexible and have a positive approach to their work. The role will be based at our Northern head office in Brigg.

Duties include:

* Serve as the primary point of contact for the internal IT department.

* Manage and update department records including software licenses, contracts, and service agreements.

* Liaise with vendors and service providers as needed.

* Procurement of software licenses and IT hardware.

* Assist with the preparation, formatting, and distribution of IT documentation and reports.

* General department admin.

* Department calendar management.

* Purchase order creation, invoice processing and queries.

* Department accommodation booking.

* Assist with IT department budget planning.

Knowledge/experience required:

* Previous experience as an Administrative Assistant, preferably in an IT or technical environment (not essential).

* Proficiency with office software (O365) and a basic understanding of IT terminology and processes.

* Strong administration skills.

* Well organised with strong multitasking skills.

* A confident communicator both in writing and verbally.

* Comfortable working independently and as part of a technical team.

* Procurement experience.

* Organised with good attention to detail.

* Confident with good communication skills.

* Can work with minimum supervision.

* Shows initiative and can work under pressure.

* Excellent team player.
