Pro Insurance currently has exciting opportunities for a Graduate Trainee Claims Technician to join our Legacy Claims Team, processing claims for an existing client.
We operate a hybrid working model: most work is from home, with weekly travel to our Glasgow or Horsham offices, and occasional visits to other locations.
Purpose of Role
Reporting to the Claims Manager, the Graduate Claims Technician will handle a caseload of EL/PL Disease and Illness Claims under supervision, including but not limited to:
* NIHL
* HAVs
* Pleural Plaques
* Liaising with solicitors and brokers
* Managing diaries and post within SLAs
* Building effective internal and external relationships
* Maintaining accurate records for audits and regulatory compliance
* Identifying potential fraud
* Supporting the team to achieve business objectives
* Providing technical advice to external clients
* Overseeing litigated claims to ensure appropriate case strategies
* Contributing to relevant projects
* Strengthening client relationships
* Representing Pro professionally in the marketplace
Knowledge and Skills
* Technical background in EL/PL claims is preferred but not essential; full training provided
* Experience in other claims advantageous
* Strong policy interpretation skills
* Ability to meet strict deadlines
* Managing competing commitments effectively
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Knowledge of claims handling, fraud, and legislation
* Adaptability to change
* Claims Handling Authority/Licence appropriate to work
* Professional, approachable relationship-building skills
