About the Role
My client is seeking a professional, enthusiastic, and flexible IT Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain a complex, multi-site IT environment. This role involves managing virtual platforms, maintaining server and network infrastructure, delivering 3rd line support, and contributing to IT projects across the business.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure the smooth and efficient running of IT infrastructure
2. Monitor and maintain server performance, security, backups, and disaster recovery processes
3. Manage virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure)
4. Maintain and support Windows Server, Active Directory (Azure Hybrid), Group Policy, DNS, DHCP
5. Support Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Defender, Intune)
6. Maintain SQL Server, IIS, SAN technologies, and backup systems
7. Implement infrastructure changes and security best practices
8. Provide 3rd line technical support across global sites
9. Assist with IT projects as required

10. Windows Server 2016+
11. Virtualisation (VMware, Hyper-V, Azure)
12. Networking & security (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, switches, APs)
13. Microsoft 365 administration
14. Backup technologies & disaster recovery
15. PowerShell scripting
16. SQL Server installation & maintenance
17. Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

18. Cisco, WatchGuard, FortiGate technologies
19. Veeam Backup & Replication
20. Server/network hardening
21. XDR solutions & monitoring tools
22. ISO27001 environment experience
Salary/logistics:
23. £55,000-£65,000
24. Hybrid working - 3 days in office, 2 days WFH
