Job Description
We're working with a consumer business based in the Chessington area looking to recruit an part-time bookkeeper on a 12 month contract basis. Reporting into the Finance Director, this will be a rounded role taking ownership of many aspects of month-end and transactional finance, and key areas of focus will include:-
* Credit control - contacting clients via phone, email and letter to chase overdue payments using a relationship-led approach
* Monitoring and managing the sales ledger to ensure customer accounts are accurate and up to date
* Preparing and issuing monthly statements
* Resolving invoice queries and disputes promptly and professionally
* Accounts Payable - ensuring supplier invoices are accurately logged, raising any issues with department managers for correct coding and approvals
* Supplier statement reconciliations
* Preparing payments for approval
* Month-end journal postings including accruals & prepayments
* Updating the fixed asset register
They're looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant / Assistant Accountant, available on short notice, with strong interpersonal skills, team work-ethic, and a decent level of Excel.
