Job Title: Maintenance Manager Location: Enniskillen Reports To: Site Engineering Manager Contract Type: Permanent Job Purpose: To support the Site Engineering Manager in delivering the maintenance strategy by working closely with Engineering Leads. This role ensures that site plant and equipment are available, reliable, and meet business requirements. The Maintenance Manager will drive the implementation of the Group Maintenance Strategy and foster a world-class maintenance engineering department. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the site engineering maintenance team. Lead the delivery of the Group Maintenance Strategy through effective team management. Direct a team of multi-skilled engineers to exceed KPIs, focusing on preventative maintenance. Ensure compliance with current Health & Safety legislation and promote a safe working environment. Achieve machine availability of 95%+ and ensure 98% compliance with PPM schedules. Plan and schedule maintenance activities in collaboration with production streams. Support root cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurring failures. Engage in Kaizen activities to identify and resolve operational issues. Communicate relevant information effectively across departments and the business. Collaborate with engineering and production management on maintenance matters. Conduct technical reviews with Factory Manager and Engineering Leads; liaise with suppliers. Identify training needs within the team and coordinate development activities. Maintain accurate asset data, documentation, and system backups. Drive continuous improvement initiatives with CI Engineers. Develop and train staff on Standard Work and SOPs. Apply risk assessments to prioritise maintenance tasks. Manage engineering spend in line with budget. Work closely with Site Stores Management to ensure parts availability and compliance with PPM parts lists. Oversee contractor control and Permit to Work processes. Manage team attendance and timekeeping via Kronos. Handle team conflicts and disciplinary matters in line with company policies. Key Skills & Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Minimum 3 years' management experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally FMCG. Proven leadership skills with a track record of driving change and delivering results. Strong knowledge of maintenance and project management. Systematic approach to H&S, Environmental Management, and Asset Maintenance. Passion for continuous improvement and adaptability to change. Excellent organisational and budgetary control skills. Proficient in CMMS, project management tools, and technical drawings. Skilled in problem-solving techniques (MBR, 5 WHY, FMECA). Competent in MS Office applications. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence cross-functional teams.
