Production Engineer
Location: Poole
Salary: £33,000 £37,000 per annum
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
A leading precision engineering business in Poole is currently seeking an experienced and proactive Production Engineer to join its busy production team. This is a key role supporting both internal operations and customer communications, ensuring timely delivery and smooth order progression.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and expedite assigned customer orders from initial receipt through to final delivery
* Communicate regularly with customers regarding order status and delivery updates
* Accurately enter all customer sales onto the sales management sheet
* Maintain detailed and up-to-date records in preparation for weekly sales reviews
* Ensure all production requirements are accurately recorded on the production run list and capacity planning schedules
* Attend production meetings and reviews as needed
* Monitor and manage on-time delivery performance for assigned accounts
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Previous experience in a production engineering role, ideally within a precision or CNC machining environment
* Strong communication skills and experience in a customer-facing role
* Comfortable working closely with engineers and production teams on the shop floor
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting
