Casual Cover Cleaner
Housekeeping Club is a well-established local cleaning company providing top-quality cleaning services across Cumbria and North Lancashire. Due to continued growth and an expanding client base, we are looking to build a list of reliable, hardworking cleaners to provide casual cover when required.
This role will involve covering:
* Busy periods
* Staff holidays
* Last-minute sickness or emergency cover
There is no guarantee of regular hours, however as the business continues to grow, there may be the opportunity for this role to develop into a more permanent position for the right candidate.
You may be required to work across a variety of sites, including:
* Holiday parks and holiday lets
* Schools
* Offices
* Other commercial premises
Please note: This is not a permanent role.
Duties
* Perform thorough cleaning of commercial spaces, including offices, washrooms, and communal areas
* Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to maintain cleanliness standards
* Disinfect high-touch areas regularly to promote hygiene and safety
* Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly
* Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and cleaning materials as needed
* Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning routines when required.
* Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
* Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services is preferred
* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high standards of cleanliness
* Ability to work independently and efficiently within designated timeframes
* Good organisational skills and reliability
* Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties, including lifting and standing for extended periods
* Flexibility to work during scheduled hours, with some roles requiring early mornings or late shifts depending on client needs
* DBS check preferred but not essential
* Driver with own vehicle preferred but not essential
Rate of Pay
* Rate of pay to be discussed, depending on experience and availability.
