Are you not afraid of a challenge? We are looking for a committed, knowledgeable Health & Wellbeing Officer to support our social workers in empowering and supporting vulnerable residents of Croydon. This includes signposting, practical community support, and direct advice or assistance from the Council.
During these challenging times, the Council leadership emphasizes the importance of our statutory functions, including Adult Social Care. We have a stable team structure, low vacancy rates, and a preference for permanent staff over agency workers. Our team includes dedicated training officers and a Principal Social Worker to support staff welfare and practice. We have also recently upgraded our electronic recording system.
Health & Wellbeing Officer Role
This role is ideal if you are starting your Social Care career or seeking a change. It is primarily case work focused, involving client interaction and community liaison through GP Huddles and ICN+ Partnership work with health and voluntary sectors. We are expanding our community engagement and liaison efforts. The role offers opportunities to gain experience working with vulnerable adults, their families, and developing local networks.
Having your own vehicle and a valid driving license is preferable for this role.
