Social Worker – Fostering Support Team Gloucestershire County Council Up to £35 per hour Are you an experienced and dedicated Social Worker with a passion for fostering? We are seeking an agency Social Worker to join our Fostering Support Team at Gloucestershire County Council and help us ensure the highest quality of care for our vulnerable children. The Role You will be joining a busy but welcoming team that supports and supervises approximately 190 fostering households. The core of this role involves: * Supporting and supervising foster carers to ensure they provide the best quality care, meeting the specific needs of children as set out in their care plan. * Ensuring fostering households comply fully with the National Minimum Standards for Fostering, with safeguarding as our absolute priority. * Holding a caseload of fostering households, providing regular support and guidance. * Undertaking annual reviews of foster carers to assess their continued suitability and development needs. * Assisting with identifying placements for children and matching them with the most appropriate fostering families. * Running support groups for foster carers and supporting them with their ongoing training and professional development.
