We are seeking a Technical Director for a wonderful practice in the NorthWest of England.
The Role
As the Technical (Associate) Director you will be a key part of the management team, responsible for the day to day running of construction projects and over-seeing team members to ensure our duties are carried out to the highest standard on budget and to programme. You will manage the construction projects together with the distribution of workload and management of technical staff. Your workload will be predominantly RIBA Work Stages 4, 5 and 6, and you will be expected to liaise with and manage external design team consultants and report direct to clients and the managing director. You will have the opportunity to work across most commercial sectors as the resource and needs of the practice requires.
As part of the technical role, you will be expected to input into fee proposals and design programmes particularly regarding delivery stages you will also liaise with our insurers when agreeing appointment contracts.
As an (associate) director you will be expected to contribute to the management of the practice in general, with management responsibilities including:
* Keeping up to date with CPD and changing legislation.
* Marketing, networking, and business development.
Requirements
* Appropriate professional qualifications.
* Fluency in AutoCAD & Revit (Revit preferred)
* Minimum of 10 years professional working experience in the UK (post qualifications).
* Ability to work and manage a dynamic team.
* Attention to detail and technical knowledge/ability.
* Good communication skills.
* Good working knowledge of UK Building Regulations and standards.
* Experience of all construction methods.
* Full UK driving license
