This project is a key driver behind plans to make Teesside the UK’s first decarbonised industrial cluster.
Balfour Beatty is seeking a dynamic and experienced Planning Engineer BI Data Analyst to contribute to the Net Zero Teesside project at our new site in Redcar, Teesside.
What you'll be doing
We are seeking a talented and motivated data analyst to join our digital team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in analysing and optimising our project operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness across the site and supply chain. The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel and PowerBI, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights and management reports. Knowledge of programming languages and technologies is desirable.
* Work with supply chain partners to standardise data sets.
* Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using PowerBI to provide real-time insights to stakeholders across various levels of the organization.
* Utilise Excel for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting.
* Collaborate with project teams to understand their data needs and support decision-making processes.
* Create and monitor KPIs and generate reports to track performance against targets.
* Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
* Assist in developing and implementing data-driven strategies to optimise operations.
* Present findings and recommendations to senior management clearly and concisely.
* Document and present project performance measures and reports, internally and externally.
* Stay updated on latest innovations and industry practices.
Who we're looking for
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience as a Data Analyst, preferably within construction or supply chain management.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and data analysis functions.
* Strong experience with PowerBI, including creating dashboards, reports, and data visualisation.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within deadlines.
* Effective communication skills, capable of presenting complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
* Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes is highly desirable.
* Ability to translate complex data into meaningful reports to support decision-making.
Desirable Experience
* Experience in the construction industry.
* Experience with data analytics tools and software.
* Programming skills in Python, JavaScript, Java, C, or SQL.
