Senior Buying Manager – NPD
Leeds (Hybrid)
£60,000 – 65,000 + Package
I am currently recruiting for a Senior Buying Manager to join an industry market leading brand based within their Head Office function in West Yorkshire. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in driving an innovative range strategy with leading NPD.
The main responsibilities as the Head of Buying will include.
* Develop & execute the product trading strategy in-line with the overall commercial development plans.
* Expert in product development across product commercialisation, ranging, visual merchandising principles and POS.
* Deliver a market leading new product development portfolio from inception, strategic direction right through to customer end basket.
* Management of budgets & product P&L
* Working seamlessly across the business, driving continuous process improvement and efficiency
* Full team management of the department, leading by example with a focus on development.
* Maintaining relationships with both internal & external partners to continuously improve, innovate and maximise both products and profitability.
Key requirements for the role.
* Previous experience of leading a product function ideally within a consumer goods business
* Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to harness profitability within the fast-paced retail market.
* Strong Commercial acumen and experience of delivering profitable products and achieving business plans, owning and managing budgets.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at all levels.
* Strong multi-tasker who can self-manage and use initiative and lead by example.
