Quality Engineer – Position Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our client’s state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facility in Tewkesbury, on a permanent basis.
Our client specialises in the design and manufacture of complex mechanical products supplying the global aerospace and defence sectors.
This position has a strong focus on APQP and PPAP, therefore proven experience within these areas is essential.
Key Responsibilities – Quality Engineer
* Support the integration and implementation of APQP within the NPI process
* Support advanced quality planning activities
* Ensure customer quality requirements are incorporated into NPI processes
* Capture and integrate lessons learned into APQP activities
* Coordinate, manage and monitor PPAP activities
* Identify and implement improvements within manufacturing processes
* Support cross‑functional teams with non‑conformances and corrective actions
* Support external compliance and customer audits
* Close out corrective actions raised during audit activities
Skills & Experience – Quality Engineer
* Proven experience in APQP and PPAP application
* Experience working within an AS9100 certified environment
* Knowledge and practical application of PFMEA
* Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI)
* Strong communication skills, both internal and external
