Position Overview
We’re on the lookout for a highly analytical and proactive Conduct and Compliance Manager to join our Retail team. This is a pivotal role for someone who is self-driven, self-sufficient, and thrives in a collaborative environment. You’ll ensure that Consumer Duty principles are fully embedded across the business while maintaining up-to-date knowledge of FCA regulations to safeguard compliance and deliver positive customer outcomes.
The ideal candidate will possess strong regulatory awareness and a proven ability to work within a regulated environment, ideally in financial services or related sectors. You’ll blend strategic thinking with hands-on problem-solving to ensure robust governance and continuous improvement.

Your Impact
* Embed Consumer Duty Principles: Ensure the four principles—Consumer Support, Consumer Understanding, Price & Value, and Products & Services—are fully integrated.
* Monitor Errors & Omissions: Report on E&O and risk event notifications, ensuring actions are taken and trends flagged to stakeholders.
* Product Governance: Establish regular monitoring of adherence to Product Governance protocols and Fair Value assessments.
* Build Relationships: Foster strong connections with business units, central functions, and key partners for accurate delivery and support.
* Complaint Activity Reporting: Oversee reporting to ensure positive customer outcomes.
* Drive Improvements: Utilize customer insights from NPS and Trustpilot results to enhance services.
* FCA Updates: Act as the key contact for regulatory updates and ensure timely communication across the business.
* Monthly Risk Reports: Provide insightful reports to SLT and MD, including trend analysis and resolution plans.
* Training Collaboration: Work closely with the Learning & Development Manager to identify training and knowledge gaps.
About You
* Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the insurance industry is essential.
* Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of current compliance practices and retail conduct risk outcomes.
* Organizational Skills: Ability to work under pressure in a systematic and disciplined manner.
* Analytical Skills: Excellent ability to interpret data and convert insights into actionable strategies.
* Independent Worker: Confident in a fast-paced environment while knowing when to seek support.
* Strategic Thinker: Proactive, can-do approach with natural empathy for customers.
* Communication Skills: Strong written communication skills for emails and internal reports.
* Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office applications.
* Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the UK.
