We require additional Patient ServicesAdvisors to work in our busy reception department at Market Harborough Medical Centre.
Candidates must have previous experience in a similar role and beable to demonstrate excellent telephone manner and customer service skills, plus the ability to work as part of a team. This is a challenging and fast-paced role that is highly rewarding.
Main duties of the job
Duties include managing patient telephone calls, responding toenquiries and carrying out a variety of administrative tasks.

About us
Our team of Receptionists and Patient Services Advisors are the first point of contact when patients call the surgery. It is a busy department overseen by Supervisors and Reception Managers who are always on hand to advise and help when needed.
The team aim to provide a high quality, professional reception and administrative service to the patients, doctors, colleagues and all health service professionals.

Job responsibilities
Duties will include:-
1. To answer the telephone, incorporating switchboard, in a polite and courteous manner at all times.
2. To make appointments, change appointments and arrive patients for all clinicians.
3. To inform patients of test results in accordance with the practice protocol.
4. To review and update patients address details, telephone numbers and email addresses when appropriate.
5. To answer any patients queries that arise during the day-to-day work of the business.
6. To ensure all new patient registrations are completed on receipt from the patient and entered on to the system.
7. To ensure online registrations are completed in accordance with the business protocol.
8. To retrieve patient medical records when requested and to re-file when necessary.
9. To cover duties for other staff members that may arise due to an absence, sickness, annual leave.
10. To act as chaperone for the clinical team (DBS certificate required)
11. To book ambulances as required.
12. To take requests for home visits and provide details to the supervisor.
13. To book appointments and manage queries on the nurses desk.
14. To complete the patient notes as detailed by the Doctors.
15. To attend monthly staff meetings and to contribute in concise and professional manner when required.
16. To undertake any additional duties given by the Practice Manager from time to time or as and when the business dictates.
