Fixed term opportunity! This is a fixed term role from May 7th - September 27th 2024 .We are
seeking a Class 2 Driver to join our distribution network In Wimborne,
Dorset. As a dedicated member of the Distribution team, you’ll play a crucial
role in ensuring customer orders are completed accurately and timely while
maintaining St Austell Brewery's fantastic reputation across the South
West.
You will be responsible for:
* Preparing the lorry for delivery and
accurately verifying the contents of inventory loads against load sheet
documents.
* Reviewing all delivery instructions to
support service standards
* Completing all documentation promptly and
accurately as required
* Ensuring that the vehicle is loaded
safely according to the load document
* Delivering stock in a safe and efficient manner
* Ensuring that all legislation relating to
driving is complied with, including a tacho card
* Ensuring the vehicle is safe and legal
for the road by undertaking and logging routine checks of lights, tyres,
oil, water, etc.
About you:
* Appropriate level of driving licence for
the vehicle, and a driver’s tachograph card.
* Relevant driving experience.
* Good geographical knowledge.
* Experience working in a customer-focused
environment with a commercial outlook.
* You will be delivering kegs with an
average weight of 63kg meaning manual handling experience is preferable as
the movement of heavy goods must be carried out in a safe and appropriate
manner.
