Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and responsible person to join our wonderful childminding team. We work from my house in a village near Lymington and offer exceedingly high-quality childcare for many local families - We are rated Outstanding by Ofsted at our last inspection (March The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for children and the ability to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to manage daily activities while ensuring the well-being of the children in your care. There is never a dull moment here and our days whizz by to say the least. The role is rather physical so you need to be able to cope with this - 12/15k steps per day is easy peasy You also need to like dogs & cats
A DBS check with relevant Health Declaration is a requirement of the role. Various online Training will be provided as part of your Induction, incl Safeguarding, EYFS and possibly Paediatric 1st Aid
Duties
* Supervise and engage with children in a variety of activities, including playtime, educational games, and outdoor activities to promote learning and development.
* Prepare meals and snacks, ensuring they are nutritious and suitable for the children's dietary needs.
* Maintain a clean and organised environment, including tidying up after activities and meals.
* Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns that may arise.
* Implement routines that support children's physical, emotional, and social development.
Qualifications
* Proven experience with children in a childcare or nursery setting is advantageous but not essential.
* Background in early childhood education or relevant qualifications would be advantageous.
* Strong management and leadership skills to effectively guide children's activities.
* Excellent communication skills in English to interact with both children and parents effectively.
* A valid driving licence would be helpful s we have 2 minibuses we transport the children in
