Part of George Durrant & Sons, established in 1853, Durrants Holiday Cottages is perhaps Southwold's original holiday letting agency. With an office on Southwold High Street and an eclectic portfolio of self-catering accommodation and beach huts, Durrants Holiday Cottages has been creating fabulous Suffolk holidays for generations.
We're looking for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Executive to join our friendly, local team. As Marketing Executive you will be responsible for delivering engaging marketing both on and offline.
This is a temporary, part-time position to cover maternity leave of the Marketing Manager.
Expected Start Date: Late March/Early April
Requirements
· Knowledge of the holiday letting market and the local area
· Positive character with excellent communication skills
· A creative thinker able bring ideas to life in compelling marketing initiatives
· Able to write engaging content
· A keen eye for design
· Confident with website CMS, in particular Wordpress, email and social media management platforms and design packages, e.g Canva.
· Well-organised with keen attention to detail
· Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and Word
· At least 2-years in a similar role
Responsibilities
· To work with the Holiday Cottages Manager to deliver the marketing plan
· Create and schedule social media activity that showcases our properties, our service and our area, to grow our online audience
· To create and send email campaigns that deliver strong results
· Update the website as required and deal with any technical issues that arise.
· Work closely with the online marketing team to ensure our website performance is optimised
· Source local video and photography website and social media use
· To coordinate our attendance at local events for example, Henham Steam Rally, Southwold Sausage Dog Walk, Christmas Lights Switch-on
· Coordinate any printed material requirements
· Build and maintain partnerships with local business for mutual gain
· Acting as a brand ambassador for Durrants Holiday Cottages
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
