About the Role
As a Junior Buyer, you’ll assist the commercial and procurement teams in sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring the smooth supply of goods to active residential developments. You’ll gain hands-on experience in all aspects of buying and supply chain coordination within a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Senior Buyer and Had of Commercial in procurement of materials and subcontractor services
* Raise and manage purchase orders in line with project requirements
* Liaise with site teams to ensure timely delivery of materials
* Maintain and build relationships with suppliers and subcontractors
* Assist in tendering and cost comparison processes
* Contribute to improving procurement processes and supplier performance
About You
* Ideally some previous experience or education in procurement, construction, or quantity surveying (though training will be provided)
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude
* Ability to work well within a small team environment
* Enthusiasm to learn and develop a long-term career in construction procurement
