Senior Engineer - Test & Release

Overview
Responsible for conducting quality control tests and analysing results to ensure that released operational systems and infrastructure meet or exceed agreed standards and requirements.
Accountabilities
* Responsible for the development and execution of comprehensive test plans and test cases
* Responsible for the defect tracking process and ensure timely resolution of issues
* Design and implement test automation and quality assurance strategies and frameworks
* Collaborate closely with development and product teams to ensure test coverage
* Provide detailed analysis and reporting of test results to stakeholders
* Point of escalation for troubleshooting from junior test engineers
* Participate in the continuous improvement of testing processes and best practices
* Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements in testing activities
Skills
* Software testing - understanding of software testing principles, methodologies and tools.
* Test Automation - Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks.
* Programming languages - Proficiency in programming languages
* Analytical and technical problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
* Communication skills - collaborate with cross-functional teams, present technical info and provide training or support
* Adaptability - Flexibility to adapt to changing technologies and work
* Project management - ability to manage one or multiple projects or project tasks and meet deadlines
Knowledge & Experience
* Established experience in software testing or a related field
* Proven experience in test automation and managing test projects.
Qualifications
* A degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is advantageous
Location & Benefits
* Location: Hybrid working environment; travel to Winchester or London office once or twice a week
* Up to £55K base salary
