Description
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager or striving Project Manager to oversee multiple small turnkey construction projects across London and the South East. This hands-on role is ideal for a proactive leader who thrives on responsibility, variety, and delivering high‑quality outcomes.
You will take full ownership of projects from mobilisation through to handover, ensuring they run safely, smoothly, on time, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the full project lifecycle from start to finish
* Interpret scopes of work, architectural drawings, and engineering details
* Lead, brief, and coordinate site teams and subcontractors
* Oversee daily site operations across multiple live sites
* Plan and allocate labour, materials, and equipment efficiently
* Maintain budget control and manage project costs
* Ensure all works comply with HSE and legal requirements
* Create and update basic project programmes
* Maintain strong quality control and client satisfaction
* Develop positive relationships with clients and suppliers
* Report progress, identify risks, and resolve operational issues quickly
Requirements
* Proven experience managing multiple construction projects (£50K–£200K)
* Strong leadership skills with a practical “builder mindset”
* Able to switch between office-based duties and on-site management
* Excellent communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to use the full microsoft suite.
* Strong work ethic, ownership mentality, and attention to detail
* Full UK driving licence (desirable)
