Job Title: Secondary Teacher
Location: Northumberland
Salary: £150 – £220 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic and committed Secondary Teachers to work in schools across Northumberland.
This rewarding role involves delivering high-quality lessons across secondary key stages while supporting students according to the curriculum and syllabus. The successful candidate will help create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their academic goals and develop confidence in their abilities.
Responsibilities of a Secondary Teacher:
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Teach students across relevant key stages and subject areas
* Support students according to the curriculum and syllabus
* Assess, monitor, and track students’ academic progress
* Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively and encourage active participation
* Prepare lesson plans, teaching resources, and classroom materials
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school staff
Requirements of a Secondary Teacher:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a relevant subject area
* Previous experience teaching within secondary schools is desirable
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Excellent communication and organisational abilities
* Passion for teaching and supporting student achievement
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
