We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic HCPC registrant or NMC registrant to join the excellent Training and Education department at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will support placement areas to offer high‑quality placement experiences for the future workforce, as well as offering pastoral support to learners across a range of professions. The candidate will confidently provide expert knowledge and guidance on supervising, assessing and supporting learners in clinical practice. They will be confident in teaching and empowering others, and will work within a multi‑professional team to support the provision of education, learning and newly appointed health care professionals.
This role will have oversight to support, maintain and develop our learning environments and support all student groups.
Main duties of the job
For this role you require experience of teaching, assessing, and supporting students, and be committed to improving the quality of placements. You will have the opportunity to showcase innovative ideas to increase student capacity and improve feedback. The post holder will work within the wider education department to develop new skills and should therefore be committed to supporting the education and development of others.
We are passionate about educators maintaining clinical competence and can support you to work a variety of hours in clinical practice. You will have opportunity to develop your portfolio and maintain your professional registration in this role. Your role will include involvement in wider department activities such as supporting simulation courses, preceptorship and clinical skills teaching.

Person Specification
Knowledge
* Understanding of Information Governance and Confidentiality
Experience
* Significant post registration experience within an acute setting
* Evidence of teaching and assessing in clinical settings
* Evidence of providing pastoral support to learners
* Experience of providing leadership in a clinical environment
* Evidence of facilitation of simulation training
* Experience of project management
* Experience of writing policies/guidelines
Skills
* Presentation skills within a variety of both formal and informal settings to large groups and at different professional levels.
* Organisational and time management skills
* Computer literate – use of Word, PowerPoint and other databases
* Able to identify and prioritise complex, time‑sensitive work and projects.
* Has evidence of experience and commitment to education in practice
Qualifications
* Registered Allied Health Professional or NMC Registrant
* Current registration with HCPC/NMC accordingly
* Hold a mentor, supervisor, or assessor qualification
* Evidence of on‑going professional, personal and academic development.
* First‑level degree in relevant profession
* Teaching Qualification (PG Cert in Education), or willingness to undertake
