We’re supporting a rapidly improving secondary school on the Bitterne side of Southampton. They’re looking for someone to join their Computing team, with a flexible start date (January or Easter 2026). The school can also be flexible with timetable and duration.
This role is open to:
* Qualified Computing Teachers
* Final-year trainees
* Unqualified candidates with a strong understanding of Computing and confidence delivering structured, practical lessons
This is a great fit for anyone who enjoys delivering Computing without the coding-heavy curriculum. The school follows the Cambridge National pathway — practical, structured, and focused on digital skills, projects, and portfolio-based work rather than programming.
The Role
* Deliver engaging Computing lessons across KS3–KS4
* Teach the Cambridge National course (project-led, practical, no coding required)
* Support students with clear, structured coursework and portfolio tasks
* Foster a calm, inclusive classroom environment
* Work collaboratively within a supportive and forward-focused team
A Brief Note on the Cambridge National Approach
The school uses the Cambridge National pathway, which:
* Is practical and coursework-led
* Focuses on digital skills and real-world application
* Uses structured units and portfolio assessment
* Does not require coding or programming
Great for teachers (or aspiring teachers) who prefer accessible, project-led delivery.

Requirements
* QTS or working towards it
